KUHO SOU FW 2010
trousers shredding before thy eyes, exposing another layer of different fabric... oh goodness..
the white tank is smashing... id wear one even if i'm mega insecure with my flabby arms haha.
the random peek-a-boos of the whole garment effectively translated the whole concept
i love the low crotch trousers...very interesting..
and the protruding intestine-like top
and the protruding intestine-like top
here are my personal looks in which i played with drapes, black, shapes, and sillhouette..
taken last year..
i can't recall what drug or food made me so gaga over drapes. Before i knew it, Im all over Rick Owen's shit. Honestly, i was blogging the whole afternoon and seeing these images from fashioninfusion jumpstarted my bored 5pm brain into greater heights.
Rick Owens, Anne Demeulmeester, Damir Doma, Tatsuro Horikawa , let's all welcome KUHO SOU's HEXA
The collection is entitled 'Talpi' which translates as 'ecdysis. That means the moulting of skin in reptiles and amphibians, although the term can be used 'to represent attempts to shed our outer skins and reemerge as spiritually more perfect and pure '. In a more layman's term , it means EXFOLIATION. haha
Mister Kuho expressed the idea of skin-shedding through the garments themselves hence the slip-effect of garments from another garment. If you look at the details more closely, one can appreciate what Jung Kuho wants to translate..
Personally, i kindov understood the theme since i underwent a lot of skin shredding and exfoliation before i truly acknowledge the style which i do love..who didn't anyway?
Plus Freja Beja , my new model crush, closed the show.. Good choice Mister Kuho.. good choice!
Well, at last Korea has a representative already in the draping bandwagon.
omg it's totally the kind of style that I like to wear! I'm soooo gonna watch out for this designer from now on.

I love the interpretation you did on the draping. Looking real edgy and i love it!

I have a weakness for the drapey silhouette, thanks for sharing, will definitely keep an eye on this designer.
ReplyDeleteI'm on the same boat too, i totally lost my sense of smell at the moment (as i suffer from chronic sinusitis). Hope u will get better soon! =)
