THIS IS WHERE HOPE COMES TO DIE exhibit
"Once this is over, there wont be any other choice but to move forward."
The night before the event, Mark Arvin asked me to come and invite friends for the said exhibit coz Sarah Javier and Celine Ferros's works will be displayed. I was skeptical since I was really looking forward to hit the beach but some things dont go as expected so plan B worked...and boy i was glad to have attended the exhibit.
Thanks to Mr. Paul Jatayna for insisting. That morning , i was just after his and Mike's company but we extended our day and attended the event. Also to show support to the curator and organizer Manuel Lotho or MANO Lotho who did great.
Upon entering , we were given cute light bulbs. When we entered the room, it looked dark and small coz only few people were present at that time. The thing is to install the small light bulbs and I thought that was brilliant. The room and lighting was perfectly cozy too hence, a more intimate mood was achieved.
The artworks were superb ... I think most addressed the issues of poverty and the so called social virus. At first, i thought the artworks were all sexed up but looking deeply, the true message was translated effectively. I just hope that the artworks were labeled so that i would know. sayang.
I loved the orange punch.I think i had 4 glasses until everyone grabbed a bottle of beer. I swore not to drink beer but the crowd, the music, and the everything felt wonderful and drinking beer would complete the mood. I CONGRATULATE the DJ's of that night.. we really enjoyed the music. dang! i shouldav asked them for the songs, but im too shy. Im wearing my ratty lil shirt and theyre straight and baka deadmahin ako. haha chos.
Congrats once again to Mano Lotho and all the organizers, artists, DJ's, Sponsors, guests and most especially to them kitchen people! greeatt JOB!
