So last week we attended the Monday Magazine launch . We were invited by Mr. Bonnapart Galeng to come and celebrate with them. Weeks ago he told me that there'll be a theme for this gathering. The theme, accdg to him was JAMES BOND. Turned out he was just joking and i hate myself for buying it. so i went there as Anakin Skywalker or some taong bayan in the Star Wars world. god i dont know what name that planet or place is. im no fan obviously haha but the taupe plus white palette have created the familiar epic look..

i love the battle-cry of Monday which is about happiness and optimism. We need that so much right now. Long before, I asked my friend Edrick what local magazines he could recommend just for some good ol' chill reading aside from Mega and Preview of course. SO he told me about MONDAY. My first time seeing Monday mag on a magazine rack was amazing. To tell you honestly, it could be intimidating too. But its good. Intimidation is good. One may feel belittled upon seeing the thick and clean magazine with some yuppie handsome guy model on the cover but inside is a classroom. It delivers necessary information and cool shiznits. Its quite healthy to consider turbo reading once in a while and not just habitually scan polished ads of Nicole Kidman for Chanel and hi-fashion editorials on some fashion magazines. What i am insinuationg is that we must learn to appreciate the value of a good and relevant article as well. By reading Monday, i have managed to appreciate grown up stuff that i always tend to ignore. Plus,one of the best stylist in Manile, RCXY Bautista is a frequent in their editorials. Something i look forward to every issue. The short video presentation showed how the magazine grew successfully albeit the pre-judged notions and hopelessness that others darted to them in the beginning.
