Chris Diaz's collection was inspired by the contorversial 14th Century saint - St. Wilgefortis whose father had her crucified. That would explain the bearded chain mail armor overlay which was portrayed by the last face of the show. It was magical. Honestly , I had goosebumps with the strong medieval content compounded with androgyny and opulent modernity. The armored gloves had me screaming in the brain and I had to ask from Chris Diaz himself if it was for sale. One would also think the controversial bearded video of Coco Rosie from last year but his reference was deeper. I would have suspected Joan of Arc given my limited knowledge with history. I love how he infused hi impact regal ornaments and elements of lusciously textured and colored brocade , chiffon , sequins with his signature clean and classic lines.
