Two to Three / Natsumi Zama
The Japanese designers' innovative and conceptual rigor is a hundred light-years ahead of us all. Rei Kawakubo, Yohji Yamamoto and Issey Miyake have made an astounding mark to the global platform which will never be forgotten. Today, a young Japanese designer by the name of Natsumi Zama, brings a fresh and novel approach to functional and conceptual dressing. With an asperity likened to Margiela and her art-celebrating tendencies, she released an amazing collection that escapes the colloquial and regimented character of fast fashion. Entitled "TWO TO THREE", the fluid-edge collection is conceived from her curiosity and ardent exploration on how a 2-D material can be transformed into 3-D object. I love the austerity of this collection. It seems simple and transparent but the way it was engineered is intricate . The kind of idea that will make you stop and realize "Hey, why haven't I thought of this?"
Wow. I want. :)
