All Soul's

 Avoided the holiday crowd by visiting the cemetery a day prior Nov1.  Filipinos have this tradition of devoting a PICNIC day with their dead during ALL soul's day. I remember bringing those oily tupperwares with fried chicken inside then we've noticed that it  wasn't necessary anymore because fastfood chains rent spaces within the cemetery.  I had so much childhood memories here. I've always looked forward to this occasion when I was young. The smell of grass was stronger... maybe because I was small and I was  closer to the ground. I've always loved the feeling of leading the Rosary in front of my old folks. I memorized each line , each mystery but I really don't know its meaning.

 It was different now. The heat plus my rhinitis slightly ruined my mood. We spent the whole afternoon rummaging the sb-division of the cemetery to visit our dead. My mum was successful in coaxing my dad to visit Ninoy Aquino's mausoleum. She even asked where Rico Yan and AJ Perez' graves are but we managed to stop her haha.  There were  no Slush Puppie snowcone booths around and the mini zoo was transformed into a Columbarium. We no longer look forward to Dad's ghost stories and my cousins weren't around since  they have their families already. Another in-passing thought : will i buried here or cremated? .. ok stop!  I might attract the reaper!!!!

I was happy though that my 27 yr old brother was cooperative enough for some photo errands.
