COLLECTION / Emma Bradstreet's Wabi Sabi
Emma Bradstreet created a collection inspired by the Japanese aesthetic ‘Wabi Sabi’.
Her work reaffirms and celebrates the beauty of things in
the realm of imperfection, impermanence and incompleteness.
I guess most designers respect the basic aesthetic of
a tailored piece however it culls them to rediscover hence
the reinvention and creation of notions of novelty.
Emma features menswear coats and tailored
jackets but in its genes lie a multitude of understated
detailing and rule-bending techniques.
The asymmetric lapel and box silhouette plus
the crop coats are perfect examples of this idea.
So perfect! Love the colours and the cut of the pieces!
