I think Neoprene is the most functional and practical fabric of them all. First, it doesn't become wrinkly after laundry. No more ironing or steaming which saves you time and electricity. Another thing is how they never soak when you get sweaty and yucky. You know how it feels when you are wearing your backpack or it's just so hot and warm like your skin has turned into Sahara. I was wearing a cotton shirt once at work at the beginning of summer and it doesn't took me long enough to realize how wet the shirt has become. Never again. That's why aside from neoprene looking so fresh and mint and just smart looking, I think they are definitely a staple textile.
