TRAVEL / Lake Ashi

![]() |
It was a peaceful afternoon by the lake. Sure, there are tourists but I have learned to zone out the noise and feel the tranquil quality of that day. The short boat ride was a good time to see the other side of the mountain. I remembered feeling melancholic during this trip. I kind of miss my mom and dad and brothers. Everywhere I look, I see a family. Or it must have been the grey clouds, and the grey waters reflecting the clouds, or could be the lulling motion of the small ship and the hushed voices of the tourists. I never wanted to leave Japan. The discovery of places, food, people are endless. How have I not started traveling earlier in life?
