TRAVEL / Mount Hakone

This was the last attraction in our tour.   Seeing the lakes , mountains, the snowy hills made me miss the city. I wonder how dark it would be come nightfall. I instantly felt that old world vibe when I saw the temple up the hill as if I was in a period-drama or something.  Another thing, the coldness was insane!
I  have never craved for a down puffer jacket until we went up the top and hang around for a bit while being slowly frozen. The view is fantastic as you can see but my thick denim on denim on denim outfit wasn't doing that great in keeping me warm. Now I do realize the necessity of a Parka. I see them as an ugly jacket. It's like the Ugg boots of the jacket department. It's very touristy and ...accessible. Although it does serve its purpose well. I wouldn't mind Demna Gvasalia's puffer jackets though lol. Anyhow, we were brave enough to fight the freezing of the tarsals and joints and still appreciate this once in a lifetime experience. And an Experience it was!
