TRAVEL / Athens
It was a rainy day in Athens. Still a splendid time to capture the mood of the city. I felt like I was in a Yorgos Lanthinos film. It was raining but there's a calm momentum in it, a bit sad to be honest. We never felt intimidated by the city although there's a grandness to it knowing that it's the great city , one of the cradles of our civilization. The people are mostly nice and helpful and the restaurants are fairly priced. I enjoyed the greek coffee since the rain had worsen the cold meter by ten fold. Still, we were able to roam around the heart of Athens including Lycabettus, the quaint Plaka town , Monastiraki , Anafiotika , and the majestic Akropolis and Parthenon.
